The Organizing Process…
Step 1: Over the Phone FREE Consultation
This is where we get familiar with your needs and talk about your current situation. We discuss your organizational style and attempt to identify your key frustrations. We set an appointment to meet and block a minimum of 3 hours.
Step 2: On-Site Personal Needs Assessment and Consulting
We come to your home and conduct a thorough walk through of your situation whether it is one cabinet or your entire home or office. Please do not tidy-up before we get there. It is imperative that see the situation at hand and see how things are naturally placed or stored. We are non-judgmental, and we are here to help.
We discuss things such as “what’s working for you” and “what’s not working for you”. We also discuss if you have any goals for how you would like the end result to look like. If you don’t have any ideas, don’t worry, that’s why we are here. Depending on the size of the project, this takes an average of 15 minutes to an hour.
Step 3: Hands-On Organizing
This is the fun part! We first decide where to begin and then we dive in. This can be a single drawer, a file cabinet, a corner of the garage, or anywhere else. We focus on one specific area at a time and complete that area before moving on. We help you to stay focused and motivated. We will implement easy and logical systems that are tailored to your specific needs. You will see your spaces transform and you will soon feel the relief and satisfaction of an organized space.
Step 4: Maintenance
Our goal is to set-up systems that are perfect for your lifestyle. Scheduled maintenance is the best prevention to keep these systems in-place and working. In order to stop clutter from creeping back into your life, you need to make regular appointment with yourself to accomplish this. If you lack the time, we offer regular maintenance services in order to keep your space organized and simplified.
How long will it take for us to organize my _____________?
Each session is a minimum of 3 hours and is flexible based on the scope and needs of each client. The number of hours needed to complete each project depends on a variety of factors including the pace at which you are comfortable working, the speed at which you make decisions, and the amount of items that need to be organized. Basically, each organizing project takes a different amount of time to accomplish and it is impossible to answer this question accurately. The lengths of previous jobs can be shared if interested, but the times are all different due to various factors.
Will it be like the television shows?
The organizing shows on television today are entertaining and informative. However, hiring a professional organizer in the real world is less extravagant. These shows usually display numerous professional organizers who work together to get the job finished within a very short period of time. Organizing off camera does not occur instantaneously. It is a process that takes some time.
Our goal is to teach you the tools so you can become and STAY organized. We work side-by-side with you so you will benefit from the process. We guide, encourage and educate you about the basic principles of organizing. We are here to help you find freedom from your old habits and create new ones for you to live by.
